The service accepts referrals for adults who fit the following referral criteria:
  • You are aged 16 years and over
  • You live in the community either in your own home, or in a residential or nursing home
  • You are a resident in the Dartford/Gravesham area
You have suffered from:
  • Stroke
  • Acquired brain injury (eg encephalitis, anoxic brain injury, subarachnoid haemorrhage)
  • Traumatic brain injury
Each referral will be considered on an individual basis but we do not usually work with people whose main problems are related to:
  • Drug and/or alcohol misuse
  • Developmental learning disabilities
  • Progressive brain disease
We are happy to discuss an cases where there is uncertainty regarding the origin of the psychological problems and make recommendations for onward referral.
